Support for kidney failure

The kidney contains more than one million small filters called “renal corpuscles”. These renal corpuscles filter the blood and remove waste products. Kidney failure occurs when the number of corpuscles decreases, affecting kidney function. The blood is no longer filtered properly, resulting in additional loss of water, salts and nutrients.

SANIMED Renal dry dog food contains reduced levels of phosphorous, which slows the loss of renal corpuscles. In addition, this food contains a high concentration of fish oil, which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, improving blood flow to the kidneys and lowering blood pressure. A high vitamin E content protects your dog’s kidney cells from further damage. In addition, the low protein content in this food reduces the production of urea (a by-product of the breakdown of protein). Finally, the low salt content helps control your dog’s blood pressure. Dogs with kidney failure often experience loss of appetite. SANIMED Renal dry dog food is a tasty treat for your dog, helping to prevent further weight loss.
